Vista Quantum 8 excels in Benchmark test
Vista Quantum 8 has been recommended in the latest edition of Benchmark Magazine looking at entry level DVRs. Benchmark is the industry’s only independent source of group product tests and assessments.
As pointed out by Benchmark, just because a DVR is cost-effective and aimed at smaller solutions doesn’t mean it has to be low on functionality. The Quantum 8 encompasses this view perfectly, offering a straightforward interface for simple installation and operation.
According to Pete Conway, editor of Benchmark Magazine, “The Quantum 8 from Vista is an MPEG-4 recorder, but the overall image quality seems slightly more refined than most lower cost MPEG-4 machines. Images captured when at the highest setting show no real obvious signs that the image has been compressed. Edges remain smooth, colours are rich and vibrant and true to the original, and even grey scales retain a good level of definition.”
In conclusion he states, “The Quantum 8 has a level of simplicity that makes it a favourite with installers. This model is often cited by competitors, and that alone speaks volumes about the impact it has had in the market.”
In response to this recommendation, Mark Pritchard, Vista divisional directors says, “We are delighted that the Quantum 8 has received such a positive review. As outlined in Benchmark, this is a DVR that offers all the functionality you need for smaller applications whilst still offering a cost-effective, yet high quality solution so indicative of the Vista brand.”
